Frequently Asked Questions
Pre-Membership Questions
- Isn't joining a club expensive?
- Actually, our memberships work out to be about the same price of a cup of coffee or a newspaper per day. We will be happy to speak with you to discuss our different membership plans.
- What if I don't know if I want to join a club or switch right now?
- The best way to find out is by taking advantage of our "7 day free pass". Experience all of our services we offer and make a more informed decision.
- Would I feel out of place if I'm not that fit?
- What you may not realize at first glance is that the person you see on the treadmill who looks fit may have been working very long and hard to get to their present fitness level. They may have lost 50 pounds. Instead of looking at the members around you as intimidating, look at them as inspirational.
- Can someone teach me how to use the equipment?
- Our fitness staff is available to answer most questions regarding the use of our equipment. All members are entitled to a free 30 minute orientation. For specific instruction and one-on-one training contact our personal training department for assistance.
- I have some health issues, can I still work out at a club?
- Sometimes exercise is the best medicine. If you have health risks, we recommend that you consult your Doctor prior to working with a Personal Trainer, who will design a custom exercise program that is specific to your personal health risks and fitness goals. They will work with you one-on-one to give you the care, attention, guidance and motivation you need to exercise safely and effectively.
Post-Membership Questions
- I've never taken group fitness before, how do I start?
- Just show up! Class schedules are available on line and at your local club. Our classes are taught with all fitness levels in mind. Feel free to go at your own pace or challenge yourself to a great workout.
- I lost my key tag (membership card). How do I get a new one?
- You may replace your membership card on your next visit to the club. There is a $15 fee to replace your card.
- I'm not able to use the club, how can I suspend my membership?
- We call it a “freeze”. You may freeze your membership that is in good standing only if you are out of town or for medical reasons. There is no freeze fee.
- What happens to my membership if I move away?
-
We are required by law to cancel your membership for the following reasons:
- If you become permanently disabled and can provide a written Doctor’s excuse.
- If you are active Military and are required to leave for duty.
- If you move 25 miles or more away.
